Ask us anything that is not answered below. This works the same way it does inside the app: your question is composed in your own email client and sent from your own account, so it is never uploaded to a server of ours.
No. RememRx has no sign-in and no account of any kind. It works fully offline, and your medication data never leaves your device unless you turn on Premium's iCloud Backup, which uses your own private iCloud account, not ours.
On your device. RememRx stores everything locally and does not send your medications or history to any server we run. If you turn on Premium's iCloud Backup, your data syncs through your own private iCloud account.
First, confirm notifications are allowed: the iOS Settings app, then RememRx, then Notifications, then Allow Notifications.
Also check that Focus modes such as Sleep or Do Not Disturb are not silencing the app, that Low Power Mode is off, and that the medication's schedule and days of the week are set the way you expect inside RememRx.
Reminders are delivered by your device, so they can be delayed by the operating system. Do not rely on RememRx alone for medication that is critical to your health.
By default, reminders say a dose is due without naming the drug, because a name on a lock screen is effectively a diagnosis anyone nearby can read. If you would rather see names, it is one switch in Settings, and the same choice exists separately for the Apple Watch complication.
Yes, and it is free. Open Settings, then Manage Household Profiles, to add anyone you are caring for. Each profile gets its own color-coded medications and schedule, all visible together on your Today screen.
Scheduled holds everything still waiting on you. Logged holds what you have confirmed or marked missed, so a dose moves out of the way once you have dealt with it.
A dose whose time has passed with no answer stays under Scheduled, because it still needs one. An as-needed medication stays there too, since taking one does not use it up, and each dose you log from it appears under Logged on its own.
Something you took once that is not worth setting up as a medication, like an antihistamine before bed. Tap "Log a one-off dose" at the bottom of Today, give it a name, an amount and a time, and it goes straight into your history without joining your medication list.
If you logged one by mistake, open it under Logged and choose Delete. Because there was never a schedule behind it, deleting removes the record entirely.
Yes. When adding or editing a medication, choose "Every N days" for cycles counted from the start date, such as every 28 days, or "Day of month" for a date each month, every few months, or once a year.
If the chosen date does not exist in a short month, the dose moves to that month's last day rather than being skipped.
If you set up a medication whose start date is today and some dose times have already passed, RememRx asks whether to count every dose or start from a time you pick.
Doses before your starting point are never expected, send no reminders, and never count as missed.
A streak counts consecutive complete days. A day is complete when every dose that every medication owed that day has been logged as taken or late. It tracks the "Me" profile only.
As-needed medications, one-off doses and days when nothing was due never count against you, and days before a medication was added are skipped entirely. Today never breaks a streak, because the day is not over; if today is already fully logged it is added as a bonus day.
A dose left unanswered on a past day, or marked missed, is what ends a streak.
Nothing punitive. RememRx marks it as missed and offers a simple recovery: log it as taken late, mark it missed, or move on. Your streak reflects real adherence, but one missed dose will not hide your history or lock you out of anything.
In the unit printed on your container, not in doses. A bottle of 60 tablets taken 2 at a time reads as 60 tablets and 30 days.
RememRx subtracts what your schedule uses each day and warns you when the days remaining drop to the threshold you set, so you can request a refill before you run out.
No. Premium is a single one-time purchase. Once you buy it, it is yours. There is nothing to renew and nothing that stops working if a payment lapses, because there is no recurring payment.
It also supports Apple's Family Sharing, so one purchase unlocks Premium for everyone in your Apple Family.
Open RememRx on the new device, go to Settings, and tap Restore. Apple links your purchase to your Apple Account, so it is restored automatically, with no receipt or account needed on our end.
With Premium, RememRx backs your data up to your own private iCloud account and can restore it on any device signed into the same Apple Account.
It requires iCloud to be enabled on your device (the iOS Settings app, then your name, then iCloud). Check that first if backup shows as unavailable.
With Premium and iCloud Syncing on, each profile has its own sharing switch in Settings. Turning it on creates a private, read-only live view. "Invite a remote caregiver" then sends an invitation through Messages, Mail, or a copied link.
The caregiver opens it on their own iPhone with RememRx installed. They do not need Premium themselves, but they do need a recent version of the app. You can revoke any caregiver at any time, and turning sharing off revokes everyone at once.
No. Only the person sharing needs Premium. Whoever you share with can view what you send them for free, from "Shared With You" in their own Settings.
They do need RememRx installed, and a recent enough version of it. If they open an invitation and iOS says a newer version is required, they are on an older release and updating from the App Store will fix it.
Only if you turn on "Alert remote caregivers about missed doses". It is off by default: sharing lets someone see your adherence, and alerting them is a step further that you opt into separately.
Caregiver alerts never include the medication's name, only that a dose was missed.
The watch mirrors Today's two tabs: Due holds what still needs you, Logged holds what you have dealt with.
Hold to confirm a dose, use the "take all" row when several doses share one time, recover a missed dose, undo or correct a dose's time, and log a one-off dose with just a name, an amount and how long ago.
The Apple Watch app is part of Premium. If it is not syncing, open RememRx on both your iPhone and watch while they are near each other, which prompts an immediate sync.
Open the medication in Manage and choose Make inactive, which keeps it and its history out of your daily list, or Delete, which removes it from Manage entirely. Neither erases doses you have already logged.
Since RememRx does not use an account system, there is no separate account to delete. Removing the app from your device removes its local data, and turning off iCloud Backup removes it from iCloud too.
